Controller with Ethernet, Isolated RS485, Sub-GHz radio, USB

DESCRIPTION

Our board that replaces a PLC plus its communication cards. Four independent ways to reach the rest of the plant, I/O built for real field wiring, and storage that survives a power cut.

FEATURES
  • STM32H5 MCU: 32-bit controller with hardware security.
  • 10/100 Ethernet: RJ45 to the plant network, no gateway box.
  • Isolated RS485: galvanically isolated, with its own isolated supply.
  • Sub-GHz radio: LoRa and FSK on the 865 to 867 MHz India ISM band.
  • Twenty inputs: safe inputs, 0/24 V bidirectional inputs and switch inputs.
  • Mixed outputs: solid-state, open-drain and P-MOS, for lamps and valves.
  • Power input: 12-24 VDC, per-channel fusing and 1.5 kW surge protection.
  • On-board storage and backed-up clock: settings and logs survive power loss.
  • RGB indicators and buzzer: machine state visible and audible at the panel.
  • USB-C service port: configuration and firmware without opening the panel.

KiCad 3D render of the Mini BLE BPC
Base Platform Circuits (BPC)

Mini BLE BPC

INFO

Our smallest BLE board, for compact battery-powered devices.

DESCRIPTION

A single chip handles the radio and the control, on a 30 x 30 mm board with the antenna printed into the PCB. Battery charging and actuator drive are already on board, so a product built on this usually needs only an enclosure and firmware.

FEATURES
  • CH591 BLE 5.x SoC: radio and controller on one chip.
  • On-board PCB antenna: nothing external to fit or connect.
  • Power input: USB or a single Li-ion cell, with charging built in.
  • Low power: 40 uA with BLE active, around a year on a small Li-ion cell.
  • Actuator output: drives a motor or solenoid off the same cell.
  • Three feedback inputs.
  • Buzzer output: audible confirm and error feedback.
  • 30 x 30 mm: fits inside a small handheld or in-line enclosure.

BLE BPC

INFO

A BLE node with RS485 and actuator drive, for wired or battery-backed use.

DESCRIPTION

This is the base we use when a node has to work both on a plant supply and on battery. BLE gives local phone or handheld access, RS485 connects it to the wider system, and it can drive an actuator directly.

FEATURES
  • CH591 BLE 5.x SoC: local access without a gateway.
  • RS485 port: connects to the plant or machine network, surge protected.
  • Power input: 12 V or 24 V DC, fused with surge protection.
  • Multiple power sources: DC supply, USB, or Li-ion battery with charging.
  • Low power: 80 uA with BLE active, around a year on a small Li-ion cell.
  • Actuator output: bidirectional drive for a motor or solenoid.
  • Sensor input and indicator output.
  • 60.5 x 60.5 mm: four mounting points, fits a small enclosure.

KiCad 3D render of the RPi 4 GPIO BPC
Base Platform Circuits (BPC)

RPi 4 GPIO BPC

INFO

A Raspberry Pi board that adds sub-GHz radio, relays and protected inputs.

DESCRIPTION

This turns a Raspberry Pi into a field-ready controller. It stacks on the 40-pin header and adds what a Pi cannot do on its own: a long-range radio link, relay outputs for real loads, and inputs that take field wiring safely.

FEATURES
  • 40-pin GPIO socket: stacks on a Raspberry Pi or CM4 carrier.
  • Sub-GHz radio: LoRa and FSK on the 865 to 867 MHz India ISM band.
  • Two relay outputs: NO, NC and common brought out.
  • Four protected inputs: field wiring never touches the Pi's GPIO directly.
  • Power input: separate 12 V and 5 V rails, individually fused and kept away from the Pi's own supply.
  • Buzzer output: local audible alarm.
  • 65 x 37 mm: sits within the Pi's own footprint.

KiCad 3D render of the Mini LoRa Tx BPC
Base Platform Circuits (BPC)

Mini LoRa Tx BPC

INFO

A 29 x 20 mm sub-GHz transmitter that reports two signal lines from a machine.

DESCRIPTION

It reads two signals from a machine or fixture and sends their state over a long-range radio link. Useful where the machine sits far from the panel and running a cable to it is not worth the effort. Small enough to build into the equipment itself.

FEATURES
  • Sub-GHz radio: LoRa /FSK on the 865 to 867 MHz India ISM band.
  • Long range: far better plant coverage than Wi-Fi, through walls and racking.
  • Two signal inputs.
  • Power input: 5 V from the machine's own supply, fused and reverse-polarity protected.
  • Single 7-pin connector: one plug carries power and both signals.
  • Status LED: shows link and transmit activity at the machine.
  • 29 x 20 mm: built into the equipment, not bolted beside it.

Lora Rx BPC

INFO

A sub-GHz receiver with five relay outputs and five isolated inputs, for panels.

DESCRIPTION

The panel-side counterpart to our transmitters. It receives from nodes on the line and acts on what it hears, while inputs read back what the machine is actually doing. All field wiring lands on screw terminals.

FEATURES
  • Sub-GHz radio: LoRa/FSK on the 865 to 867 MHz India ISM band.
  • Five relay outputs: NC / C / NO on screw terminals.
  • Five inputs: High Voltage reading signal lines.
  • Ten indicator outputs: command and status lamps driven directly.
  • Three expansion ports: I2C and GPIO for add-on boards.
  • Power input: 12-24 VDC panel supply, fused with surge protection.
  • 165 x 120 mm: four M4 mounts for back-plate mounting.

FEATURES
  • Sub-GHz radio: LoRa and FSK on the 865 to 867 MHz India ISM band.
  • Two relay outputs: on 5 mm screw terminals.

Base Platform Circuits (BPC)

Access Control BPC

INFO

An access controller with BLE, Touch Keys and NFC.

DESCRIPTION
